Full Field Digital Mammography & 3D Breast Tomosynthesis

Keeping with our tradition of introducing world-class medical imaging services in India, Helvetia Diagnostics And Healthcare was the 1st to introduce a 50 micron Full Field Digital Mammography system – AMULET by Fujifilm. Tomosynthesis: improving the accuracy of FFDM

Full Field Digital Mammography

A mammography scan is a High-Resolution X-Ray of the breasts. It is done with the intention of early detection of breast cancer. Many studies done all over the world have shown time and again that breast cancer has a much better survival rate if detected early. It is a simple procedure and requires no special preparation.

Soft Gentle Design

Complete with arm-rests, chest padding and arm-pit padding, the AMULET Mammography system provides the highest level of comfort for the patient during the scan.

Automatic Scanning System

The machine automatically controls the degree of compression applied to the breasts for optimizing the amount of radiation exposure. It automatically releases the compression once the scan is done.

Highest Resolution – Clinical Efficiency

FUJIFILM’s exclusive amorphous flat panel detector combined with their innovative Direct Optical Switching technology leads to 50u resolution, the best currently available in the world.

Computer Aided Diagnosis (CAD)

The amount of information offered by the system is so much that we have invested in CAD- ‘Computer Aided Diagnosis’ technology which uses artificial intelligence algorithms to assist our radiologists in making more accurate diagnosis, leading to detection of disease which may be too small to be seen by the naked eye.

Advise: At Helvetia Diagnostics And Healthcare , we advise a mammography scan for all ladies above the age of 40 years. The scan should be repeated at least once every two years, or more frequently if recommended. It is important to note that a mammography scan should be done even when no lump or mass can be felt in the breast.

3D Breast Tomosynthesis

Tomosynthesis: improving the accuracy of FFDM

Tomosynthesis gives 3 dimensional images of breast tissue and further improves the accuracy and sensitivity of the examination. The X-Ray tube moves through an arc while acquiring a series of low-dose X-Ray images that are reconstructed into a series of 3D images. It has now become the modality of choice, even for breast cancer screening.
